Mr. Sujitesh Das, Head HR at Microland Co. Ltd. took a guest lecture on HR practices and General workplace etiquettes for IBA students. Mr. Sujitesh is a MBA-HR graduate from XLRI, Jamshedpur and has 13 years of corporate experience.
The lecture began with a short introduction of the guest lecturer and it was followed by an interactive session where the students were encouraged to raise their queries relating to the areas of Marketing, HR, Finance, Operations along with other doubts relating to corporate life. A number of queries ranging from gender preference in HR managers and roles and duties of HR to transition of non-commerce graduates into management were put across the speaker. The lecture was very informative and provided the students with a pre-view of what to expect from the much famed “Corporate” work life.
Mr. Sujitesh answered to most of the queries put out at him and gave crucial examples to prove his points. He emphasized on the importance of time management and about how people who plan and manage their time efficiently become successful managers. He concluded by thanking the students for their participation and patience throughout the lecture. The highpoint of the lecture was the clarity of thought in the message conveyed, backed by simple yet crucial examples.
