As Mr. Jayaraju (one of the staff members) chanted the Saraswati Vandana invoking the “Goddess of Knowledge” for her blessings as well as the gifts of concentration & memory, it also marked the beginning of a new chapter in the life of students of 18th Batch (2018-20) of IBA Banaglore. It was followed by lightening of the lamp to honour Goddess Saraswati by respected dignitaries which filled the aura with purity & peace. It was a beautiful morning of 20th June 2018 when the whole IBA family gathered to welcome the newest members of IBA family and bestowing their best wishes on them for the next two years of hard work, determination & perseverance that lay ahead of them. This milestone event marks the start of 2 years of training the students will undergo to become “Future Managers” in the Corporate world. Well known dignitaries of IBA along with Chief Guest, Mr. Paneesh Rao (Chief Human Resources Officer – L&T Technology Services Ltd.) and Mr. Manish Jain (CEO & Founder – IBA Bangalore), along with Dr. Subhash Sharma (Director – IBA Bangalore) via Skype, and all the faculty & staff members graced the event with their presence. The ceremony started with Dr. Sudhendu Dey (Program Director – IBA Bangalore) welcoming the new students into IBA family. It was followed by Dr. Subhash Sharma interacting via Skype, who talked about “Mantras of Success” for budding managers and explained the philosophy of management education at IBA and how it aptly supplements to that. Subsequently, the members of Faculty and Staff took turns, introducing themselves to the new students, who in turn introduced themselves to the gathering. The event concluded by thanking for the efforts of all those who were present which was well presented by Prof. Suresh Chandra with a hope that the new batch will follow in the footsteps of their predecessors to strive hard and raise the bar of academic achievements within and beyond the Institute at various levels.
