Indus Business Academy successfully organized the Overseas Business Study Mission (OBSM) to Dubai, UAE, offering students an enriching international exposure to global business practices, innovation ecosystems, sustainability initiatives, and cultural heritage. The mission was designed to provide participants with firsthand learning experiences through industrial visits, entrepreneurial workshops, leadership interactions, and exposure to Dubai’s world-renowned infrastructure and business environment.

The journey commenced with departure from Bangalore to Abu Dhabi, marking the beginning of an immersive global learning experience. Upon arrival in the UAE, participants witnessed the country’s advanced infrastructure, efficient systems, and technological excellence, setting the tone for a week of experiential learning and cross-cultural engagement. The first day in Dubai included visits to iconic landmarks such as Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Creek, and Gold Souk, where students observed how visionary planning, tourism, infrastructure, and traditional trade contribute to Dubai’s global economic significance.

A major highlight of the mission was the exposure to Dubai’s thriving innovation ecosystem. Participants visited Dubai Silicon Oasis and Dubai Technology Entrepreneurship Campus (DTEC), where they gained valuable insights into startup incubation, entrepreneurship support systems, mentorship models, and innovation-led economic growth. At the Mohammed Bin Rashid Solar Innovation Centre operated by DEWA, students explored advanced renewable energy technologies and learned about Dubai’s commitment toward sustainability and clean energy transformation.

The academic dimension of the OBSM was further strengthened through entrepreneurship workshops conducted by London Business School alumni and interactive sessions with senior business leaders.
