
Dr. Nagendra Hegde is a Sales and Marketing professional turned academician. He has over two and half decades of rich experience in the domain. He has worked in FMCG/FMCD and Telecommunication sectors which are deemed as the toughest sectors to work for.
Having worked for the world-class Sales Organizations, he has got his Sales and Marketing fundamentals right. He has steadily scaled up the ranks sheer by his skills and learning progress.
Dr. Hegde is known for giving attention to details and he has had the reputation of turning-around the non-performing business units into performing business units. His ability to bringin creativity to the table has helped him counter the challenges with ease.
Dr. Nagendra Hegde is associated with IBA since last 12 years. He teaches the fundamentalcourses of Marketing Management and specialization courses such as Sales & Distributionand B2B Marketing. He loves interacting with students and mentors them with alacrity. He leaves no opportunity to turn the tide, to make learning more interesting and impactful always. His ability to engage students through innovative teaching methods gets the best out of students. His research interests have been around Marketing in MSMEs, Customer Engagement and Experience Management, Product Development and Sales & Distribution.
Dr. Hegde has handled a few Consulting assignments with start-up businesses and helped them take-off from ground zero.
Dr. Hegde has many research papers to his credit and has worked as an Editor for few journals. He is the Founding Member of Indus Business Academy Marketing Forum (IBAMF) under which he has organized workshops, seminars, round-table discussions and conferences. He is a vivid reader and loves writing articles on contemporary issues surrounding Economy, Market, Marketing, Sales, Strategy, Consumer Psychology, General Management and host of other related areas. He is also an author of a book “Not a Word More Not a Word Less”.
Four philosophies that he believes in, get him going;
1. Get the process right, result takes care of itself.
2. Never work in anticipation of returns; if you do, that puts you in a spot of bother.
3. Time has a healing power; don’t react, respond to it. Hold composure, you win.
4. When it comes to time, be a soldier.
He loves the game of cricket to such an extent that few analogies from the game are drawn
into few of his course delivery as well. Apart from this, he holds a special interest in
Hindustani Classical music and light music as well.
