Guidelines

  • The event is purely offline and therefore the presentations have to be made in person before the jury
  • The presentation can be individual or a joint effort subject to maximum of three people per team
  • For multi-author presentations, there cannot be more than one faculty. Multi member teams can have only one faculty and one or two students (Doctoral/PG/UG)
  • The presentation must be around the theme of the event. The concept or a principle that is sought to be discussed through the paper must be clearly illustrated
  • Each team must answer the competition question and submit the same before the deadline. Select answers upon acceptance will be invited for presentation on the competition day. All submissions will be on a platform accessible through the link provided
  • The answer to the competition question must be between 500-700 words only.
  • The presentation would be for maximum eight minutes
  • Every thirty second time overrun (or part thereof) would mean a deduction of two points per overrun. There would be separate time jury to monitor the same
  • There would be maximum of seven minutes allocated for Questions and Answers.
  • The presentation should not exceed three slides
  • The jury would be a mix of economics and non-economics experts
  • There would be preliminary elimination rounds, the best submissions would proceed to the finals
  • The research paper would be reviewed before the event and would have a weightage of 25%
  • The presentation before the jury would have a weightage of 75%
  • The criteria for judging would be put up ON the competition website
  • The decision of the technical committee is final in case of any disputes

  • The abstract should clearly indicate the choice of the topic and its relevance to the theme
  • All manuscripts should be in English, typed in Times New Roman, font size 12 in double space, only on one side of the paper with a wide margin on both the sides. All tables must be consecutively numbered using Arabic numerals with appropriate titles. Footnotes should be listed consecutively in the text with super script Arabic numerals. Bibliographic references should be on a separate sheet of paper
  • Only word (.doc or .docx) and pdf files can be uploaded
  • Fill all the details as required. In case of doubt feel free to mail at ecocon@iba.ac.in
  • The final submission must be in the range of 500-700 words
  • The cover page should contain the title of the submission, full authorship, author’s professional titles and e-mail addresses
