Performance Appraisal post Covid

On 22nd January 2023, Indus Business Academy organized a guest lecture on ‘Performance Appraisal Post Covid’ by Mr Diwakar Goel. 

The workplace and the way performance evaluations are done have both been significantly impacted by the Covid-19 outbreak. The need to accommodate remote work arrangements has forced many firms. He described the experience of performing.

He talked about how he attained success and reached his full potential. Employers should re-evaluate and modify expectations in light of the current circumstance and offer staff members the tools and support they need to succeed.

He also discussed how the pandemic has changed the duties and expectations of the workplace. In order to properly evaluate employees’ performance, employers must determine whether job descriptions adequately reflect the work that is being done.

The importance of self-love and self-evaluation was stressed throughout his subsequent one-on-one talks with each pupil. Additionally, he engaged the pupils in a few exercises like lighting many candles with a single matchstick and stacking cards while emphasising independence. That provided a wonderful opportunity for learning.
