Maha Shivratri
The Indus Business Academy (IBA), a premier PGDM college, recently held a heartfelt celebration of Maha Shivaratri on March 8th. This annual Hindu festival, honouring Lord Shiva, the embodiment of transformation and supreme consciousness, brought a sense of spiritual reflection to the institute.
Seeking Blessings for Academic and Personal Growth:
The evening began with the Ratri First Prahar Puja. Held at 7:00 PM on the Santripti Ground Floor, this puja offered students and faculty a chance to seek Lord Shiva’s blessings for their academic pursuits and personal journeys. The ceremony resonated with chants and prayers, fostering an atmosphere of introspection and inner peace.
A Shared Experience for Students and Faculty:
Following the puja, a vegetarian dinner was served in the mess, creating a space for students and faculty to connect and share a delicious meal. Dishes like Puri, Raita, Fried Rice, Papad, Sewai/Kheer, and Palak Paneer offered a flavourful break after the spiritual ceremony. Additionally, special prasad was distributed to those who observed a vrat (religious fast) in honour of Lord Shiva.
Beyond Religious Observance: A Celebration of Values:
The Maha Shivaratri celebration at IBA transcended the boundaries of a purely religious observance. It served as an opportunity for students and faculty to come together in a spirit of shared values. The event fostered a sense of unity and camaraderie within the academic environment, promoting a well-rounded student experience that incorporates spiritual awareness alongside academic rigor.
A Reflection on Transformation and Growth:
Maha Shivaratri, with its focus on Lord Shiva, embodies the concept of transformation. This resonated with the students at IBA, who are themselves on a journey of transformation, developing their professional and personal skills in preparation for successful careers. The observance served as a reminder of the importance of continuous learning, growth, and overcoming challenges – values that are central to the IBA educational philosophy.
A Lasting Memory for the IBA Family:
The Maha Shivaratri celebrations at IBA were a cherished event for students and faculty alike. The evening offered a unique blend of spiritual reflection, delicious food, and a sense of community. It remains a lasting memory, reminding everyone of the transformative power of faith, tradition, and shared values within the academic environment.
