On December 9, 2023, the Economics Research Championship at Indus Business Academy, centered on the theme “Economics Encounters: Applications in Daily Life” unfolded with a vibrant start, aiming to elevate the study of economics to a championship level. Mr. Manish Jain, the chairman, emphasized the omnipresence of economics in daily activities and lauded the creative minds behind businesses. Dr. Subhash Sharma, our chief mentor, advocated for holistic development and a balance of the four forces of creation. Prof. Prashant Kulkarni, shedding light on the championship and sharing his extensive knowledge, introduced the concept of Ecofluence. Emphasizing on how he came up with the marvelous idea of Ecofluence.

With 20 participating teams from renowned colleges like BITSPILANI, CHANAKYA UNIVERSITY, WELINGKAR BANGLORE, KRITSU JAYANTI COLLEGE, and SYMBIOSIS BANGLORE including our own institute, the competition featured rounds where teams presented on the designated theme, evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges. Guest speakers highlighted future economic opportunities, emphasizing global growth, de-carbonization, de-globalization, and digitalization as drivers of the Indian economy. A tree plantation ceremony added a touch of environmental consciousness to the event. The cultural segment showcased student talents, and the day culminated with the announcement of winners. Prof. Prashant Kulkarni expressed gratitude in the vote of thanks, acknowledging everyone associated with Ecofluence, marking the successful conclusion of an intellectually stimulating event.
