Indus Business Academy (IBA) in Bengaluru marked the 75th Republic Day of India with a stirring ceremony on January 26, 2024. Students, faculty, staff, and invited guests, filled the college amphitheater with an electric atmosphere of patriotism, eager to commemorate this pivotal moment in India’s history.
The event unfolded with Director Dr.Shubendu dey eloquent speech, highlighting the significance of Republic Day and the invaluable lessons enshrined in the Constitution. Chief guest Brigadier Ravi Muniswamy talks about Alexander, in his captivating address, traced India’s transformative journey from the Mughal era to Subhash Chandra Bose’s 1945 mutiny, resonating the echoes of revolution through leaders like Lal Bahadur Shastri and Indira Gandhi. Their emphasis on unity transcending religious divides resonated deeply with the audience.
A traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and Sarasvati Vandana, a prayer to the goddess of knowledge, set the stage for the solemn flag hoisting. As the Indian national flag unfurled to the stirring notes of the national anthem, a wave of patriotism swept through the amphitheater. The tricolour fluttering in the wind served as a powerful symbol of national pride.
The cultural program, vibrant and diverse, showcased India’s rich heritage. Students of various backgrounds and batches presented a tapestry of dances, songs, and skits, capturing the spirit of unity and diversity that binds the nation. Faculty members also enlightened the audience with their insights on the day’s significance.
As the ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, it was clear that the Republic Day celebrations at IBA were a resounding success. The event fostered a sense of unity and solidarity, reminding everyone of the values that form the bedrock of the Indian nation: democracy, unity, and diversity.
