Orientation Day’ 2024
The orientation program for the Indus Business Academy (IBA) Bangalore batch of 2024-26 was held on July 1, 2024, in the presence of esteemed faculty, staff, and guests. The event was hosted by Suzain Mir and Ronit Das, who welcomed the new batch, parents, and dignitaries to this significant occasion. The program began with an introduction to IBA’s history and achievements, highlighting the institute’s excellence in management education, its international accreditations, and its reputation as one of the top business schools in India. The hosts emphasized IBA’s unique culture, which fosters continuous learning and personal growth, setting the stage for the new students to embark on their professional journeys.
The day’s proceedings included a formal welcome by Dr. Subhash Sharma, the Chief Mentor, who invited the chief guest, Group Captain Abhinav Chaturvedi, to the stage. This was followed by the symbolic lighting of the knowledge lamp, signifying the start of the students’ academic journey. The spiritual atmosphere was further enhanced by a rendition of the Saraswati Vandana, performed by Ms. Anushree Gupta, invoking blessings for a successful and fulfilling educational experience.
Dr. Manish Jain, Founder and Chairman of IBA, then delivered a speech, offering insights into the institute’s mission and his vision for the students. He shared his experiences and achievements, inspiring the students to aim high during their time at IBA. The program continued with an address by Dr. Subhash Sharma, who shared his innovative ideas and encouraged students to adopt a creative and thoughtful approach to management education. Following this, Group Captain Abhinav Chaturvedi delivered the chief guest’s address, sharing his extensive experience in the Indian Air Force and his role as a leadership mentor, motivating students with lessons from his distinguished career.
The event also included the introduction of our director Dr. Subhendu Dey followed by the esteemed faculty members and staff members who play a crucial role in the smooth functioning of the institute. Each faculty member’s expertise and contributions were acknowledged, setting a tone of respect and admiration for the academic guidance the students would receive. In addition, the new students were invited on stage to introduce themselves, briefly sharing their academic background, career goals, and aspirations for the future. This segment helped create a sense of community and set expectations for the students’ journey at IBA.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Ramesh, followed by the national anthem, as a mark of respect and unity. The orientation program not only provided a formal introduction to the institute but also instilled a sense of motivation and responsibility in the new batch. The hosts signed off with words of encouragement, assuring the new students that their time at IBA would be challenging yet deeply rewarding.
