Dr. C.N. Udaya Shankar has a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from
Bangalore University, MBA from Indira Gandhi National Open University,
M.Phil in Management from Sri Venkateswara University and Ph.D. in Management
from Bharathiar University.
He has worked for more than 25 years in industries like Bosch Ltd
and Techno CNC Pvt. Ltd. His passion is in Lean Manufacturing.
He was trained in Lean concepts in Bosch plants located in Germany, China and Malaysia.
He believes in teaching in a simple way through simulation games, connecting concepts to
real-life examples, videos, industrial visits and driving the complex concepts into students’
minds in a simple way to make them industry ready.

- Mentored students of Ramaiah Institute of Management in Kaizen. The teams participated in a National level competition arranged by QCFI at Aurangabad. The team got Par Excellence Award and qualified to participate in the International Level Competition.
- Certified as “BPS Mentor” (Mentor in Lean Manufacturing) by Bosch, Germany.
- Won BEML Trophy as “Best Supply Chain Manager” in a competition organised by IIMM in 2004.
- Received appreciation for Bosch – India from customer M/s Hartz, Germany for providing a low-cost solution to a complex technical problem in their manufacturing process.
- Instrumental in securing the Best BPS Plant Award for Power Tools Division of Bosch India out of 27 Bosch plants worldwide for implementing Lean practices in 2011.

- Empanelled Lean Consultant with Ministry of MSME.
- Awarded Black Belt in Six Sigma.
- Worked with PES Institute of Technology as Consultant for implementing Lean Manufacturing in 10 MSMEs.
