AI Awareness Week 2025: A Transformative Initiative by Indus Business Academy

The Infin’IT Club of Indus Business Academy (IBA), Bangalore, successfully hosted the AI Awareness Week from February 7-12, 2025. The event commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting by Director Dr. Subedhu Dey, Infin’IT Club Mentor Dr. Krishnan Hariharan, and esteemed faculty, followed by an oath-taking ceremony where students and faculty pledged to position India as a global leader in AI innovation, ethics, and education.

The week-long celebration featured a series of expert-led sessions covering critical aspects of AI. The first session on February 7, 2025, led by Mr. Makrand Patwardhan (Lead UX Designer, Grassdoor Logistics Pvt. Ltd.), explored AI’s impact on careers, particularly in product management and UX design. He highlighted the role of AI in automation, workflow optimization, and career adaptability. This was followed by an engaging session on February 8, 2025, by Dr. Srinivas Padmanabhuni (Guest Faculty, IIT Tirupati), who emphasized the importance of responsible AI, focusing on ethics, transparency, security, and the mitigation of biases in AI models. On the same day, Mr. Aashish Kumbhar delivered an insightful session on AI in cybersecurity, shedding light on AI-driven cyber threats such as phishing, deepfake attacks, and AI-powered malware, alongside defense strategies like AI-driven threat detection and security automation.

On February 11, 2025, Mr. Avinash Rao explored the evolving role of AI in consulting, highlighting predictive analytics, automation, and the interplay between AI-driven insights and human expertise in decision-making processes.

The grand finale of AI Awareness Week took place on February 12, 2025, with the inauguration of the AI Chapter—‘AI for Business Excellence (AIBE).’ This initiative aims to provide students with a platform to explore AI applications, engage in hands-on projects, and collaborate with industry leaders. The event also featured an AI quiz, where the top-performing students were recognized for their excellence, reinforcing IBA’s commitment to fostering AI literacy.

AI Awareness Week 2025 was a resounding success, bringing together students, faculty, and industry experts to explore the transformative power of AI. The event not only deepened participants’ understanding of AI-driven advancements but also inspired them to embrace AI for a smarter and more sustainable future.
