Archish 2015
Archish 15 this year scaled differently with all the more reasons to term it as another benchmark.
Great efforts were put by every student, faculty mentors, and staff in each and every possible aspect. It will be a special remembrance for all, because of the short duration (in just 14 days!) taken to put up the show as well as the single day carpet bombing of 203 institutes in Bangalore as part of Invitations. The event was promoted through Social media, where colleges and alumni were relentlessly bombarded, with updates and graphics before and during the fest reaching more than 130,000 people!
The theme this time was Vibrissa, in an attempt to derive indications from Moustaches because in the corporate world, it is about change; people should adapt to change. The theme showed that people have to wear different moustaches and should change their look in a continuously changing environment.
The campus was aptly decorated, keeping the theme in mind with depictions of various kinds of moustaches all over. The overall sponsorship for the event was worth Rs. 4.5 lakhs that came from sponsors, like Inox, Urzza, Bisleri, Papa Johns, Rolls on wheels, eBay, Line, Dark Arts Tatoo, Chithra Creations, and Lush Cosmetics. Archish’15 crossed the footfalls benchmark of 600 that included Corporates, Participants, Students, and Alumni. The total number of participating institutes was 30 out of which 22 were for management battles, and 8 were for cultural events like XIME, Jain University, Christ University, Kristu- Jayanti College, Bangalore Institute of Technology, Adarsh Group of Institutes, etc.
The total no. of verticals were 13, namely Finance, Marketing, HR, B-Quiz, IT, Retail, Operations, Best Manager, Treasure Hunt, Photography, Short film, Live Business Idea, and Culturals. After 2 tough days of battle, the grand finale was held on the evening of 2nd day. With all the zeal, passion, and spirit to rock the stage on the IBA floor, the participants of Fashion Show and Group Dance thrilled the audience every moment.
Even though the sun set on Archish’15, the standard to adhere to, and surpass for Archish’16, had already been established by its success.
