Children’s Day Celebration
CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION
Date: 14th November 2019
“One best feeling in the world is to make someone feel that they are not alone in this world and that they have someone who cares for them.”
Children’s Day is celebrated in India to increase awareness of the rights, care and education of children. It is held on 14th November every year as a tribute to India’s First Prime Minister, Late Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, fondly known as ‘Chacha Nehru‘ among children, who advocated for children to complete their education.
In IBA children’s day was celebrated with the kids of Sneha Jyothi Orphan Children’s Home, Bangalore. 28 children and 2 caretakers from the orphanage were invited along with the kids of labourers at IBA to celebrate the day with IBA family.
The members of HOPE Committee organised various programs for these children, which included dance performances and singing. Games were also conducted for them, and they actively participated in the activities and were overwhelmed with joy. Gifts and sweets were also distributed to the kids. The program ended with the dance performance by the kids of the ashram followed by evening snacks served to them by Santripti.
Spending time with children and seeing their innocent smiles melted everyone’s hearts. The real joy & happiness of the kids was palpable from their extremely valuable smiles at the end of the day while they were leaving. The IBA fraternity connected well with the little hearts, and it was very hard to bid goodbye after spending an evening with them. It is the ultimate feeling which can’t be put into words.
Everyone loved and cherished the moments of Children’s Day Celebration, and it was surely the same for the children of Sneha Jyothi Orphan Children’s Home.
