Emotional Well-Being by Ms. Akila Annamalai
On November 21, 2022, a guest lecture was presented at the Indus Business Academy in Bangalore. Speaking on the theme of “Emotional Well-Being,” Ms. Akila Annamalai, Director, CoRE Talent & Leadership Talent, gave a presentation.
In her guest lecture on “Emotional Well-being,” Ms. Akila Annamalai covered the significance of comprehending and controlling our emotions. She outlined how our emotional health serves as the cornerstone of our physical health and well-being. It is crucial to acknowledge and embrace our emotions since doing so will help us control them more effectively.
Ms. Annamalai underlined that in order to manage our stress levels, we must be conscious of our emotional triggers. She emphasised that it is crucial to exercise self-care, which includes doing things that make you happy and relaxed, creating time for meaningful connections, and exercising. She also advised us to look for expert assistance as necessary.
Ms. Annamalai also spoke about the significance of cultivating a good outlook, mindfulness, and thankfulness. She advocated living in the present and appreciating the positive aspects of our existence. She also talked on how important it is to lead a good work life. Ms. Annamalai emphasised the value of scheduling self-care time and striking a balance between work and mental health as she wrapped off her talk. She counselled that leading a happy and healthy personal and professional life depends on having good emotional health.
