Dr. Bijay Krishna Bhattacharya is a Senior Faculty in the Finance vertical. He got his PhD degree from Vidyasagar University, Midnapore, West Bengal, in Retail Banking. He also holds an M.Phil. Degree in Management. He got his MBA Degree in Finance from a premier institute, viz., the Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISWBM), Kolkata, under the University of Calcutta. He also holds an M. Com degree from the University of Calcutta. He got CAIIB from the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIB & F), Mumbai.
He has teaching experience spanning more than 16 years.
He was also Visiting Faculty at renowned colleges and institutes, including the MBA department of Jadavpur University, Kolkata.
Before joining IBA, Bangalore, he taught at various institutes, viz., Adamas University, Kolkata; ICFAI University, Tripura; and Globsyn Business School, Kolkata.
He has about 29 years of industry experience.
He was the Chief Manager (at the time of separation from the bank) of Oriental Bank of Commerce (now merged with Punjab National Bank).
He was the branch incumbent of the large branch of the bank.
He was head of the Foreign Exchange Department of the bank and was also head of the Loans and Advances Department.
He has also served as a Senior Faculty Member of the Apex Staff Training College of the bank at NOIDA (NCR).
He used to Train Probationary Officers, Officers, Managers, Senior Managers, and Chief Managers of the bank.
He has published 37 scholarly articles in national and international journals, including 4 in UGC Care I, and has also participated in several national and international conferences.
He has also Chaired international conferences and delivered Key Note addresses at the conferences.
