The Indus Business Academy organized a guest lecture on ‘Concepts of Cyber Security The lecture was held on 27th August, 2022 in AMA Audi for the new batch of 2022-24, by Mr Ashish Kumbhar, an alumnus of IBA (2008-10 batch), currently working with Tata communications as Sr. Product Manager for International markets.

Mr Kumbhar made us walk through the Cyber Security world. He explicated how cyber security safeguards systems, networks and data from digital attacks. He put forward his own experience with Network Parameters, Next Gen Firewalls, Cloud proxy, Remote work Ransomware, etc.

Mr Kumbhra also expounded on Endpoints, Applications and IoTs. The session then came to its focal point when he summated that cyber security is designed to protect all categories of data from theft and damage. Without a cyber-security strategy, your business cannot defend itself from cyber threats leaving it vulnerable to malicious actors, who will identify your business as an easy target.
