Holi celebrations take place with a lot of joy and verve throughout the country. The enthusiasm of people reaches its peak and matches with the nature which is in full bounty at the time of Holi. The festival is being celebrated in India since time immemorial, but the popularity seems to be rising with every passing year, and so is the grandeur of celebrations, as no other festival gives so much liberty to the people to let themselves loose and enjoy their hidden crazy self. Holi is one of the most revered and celebrated festivals in India, and it is celebrated in almost every part of the country. It is also sometimes called the “festival of love” as on this day people get to unite together, forgetting all resentments and all types of bad feelings towards each other.
The great Indian festival lasts for a day and a night, which starts in the evening of Purnima or the Full Moon Day in the month of Falgun. It is celebrated with the name Holika Dahan or Choti Holi on the first evening of the festival, and the following day is called Holi. In different parts of the country it is known with different names. IBA during such events truly becomes the Indiapura it is known as because students coming from different parts of the country, following different traditions, experience not only the management learning here but the experiential learning of various traditions as well.
The ritual started with a story behind the Holi and its celebrations, which was narrated by Sachin Tiwari and Deepti Nair, students of Batch 18-20. Lighting up the bonfire on this night before the day of Holi symbolized the triumph of good over evil. Founder CEO & Chairman, Dr. Manish Jain, and Director, Dr. Subhash Sharma, along with dignitaries from IACBE, were present on the occasion. On the day of Holi, students played colors with each other, showing love and respect while celebrating, and had some delicious food that was served to them in the mess.
