Industry 4.0 Reimagining the manufacturing operation

The Indus Business Academy hosted a guest lecture by Abhra Dutta on “Industry 4.0-Reimagining the manufacturing operation” on December 3, 2022. In the fields of industrial operations and supply chain, he has over 20 years of expertise in leading digital business changes.

Abhra Dutta covered the current trends and Industry 4.0 technology in the lecture, as well as how these developments are impacting the industrial sector. He had also discussed issues relating to the fourth industrial revolution’s driving technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, big data, and others.

Additionally, he had talked about how these technologies are being used to boost production quality, lower costs, expand flexibility, and improve manufacturing efficiency. Together with the skills needed for employees to adopt to these new technologies, he had also discussed the difficulties in deploying Industry 4.0 technology.

The talk included insightful explanations and useful examples of how Industry 4.0 is changing the manufacturing sector and how businesses may rethink their manufacturing processes to benefit from these new technologies.
