INTERNATIONAL STUDY TOUR TO DUBAI
Date: 3rd Feb. 2019 to 9th Feb. 2019
Indus Business Academy conducted an exciting and educative Overseas Business Study Mission for the 2017-19 students of PGDM and MBA at Dubai. Twenty-nine students took an active part in this seven days program, held from 3rd Feb. to 9th Feb. 2019. It was led, by our Chairman and CEO Prof Manish Jain and Prof. JB Shetty. The tour was successfully coordinated, by the Dubai chapter of Urekha Education led by Mr. Sarfraz Hasan, Founder/ Director, Ms Aamna Sultan, Director and Mohd Y.
Day 1: Introduction and project briefing at Urekha Education at Dubai Silicon Oasis
Day 2: Visiting Herz to kick start the Marketing project and later to Global village for cultural immersion. Students would also get a taste of the international demography, multi-cultural markets, varying segments and their consuming habits. They also interacted with IBA Alumni.
Day 3 started with an exciting visit to the Apple Flagship store at Emirates Mall, interacting with their trainers, understanding their retailing strategies, store designs and gaining insight into customer services. Desert Safari was like an icing on the cake at the end of the day.
Day 4: Students visited Intel Ignition Centre to understand the applications of IoT followed by an extensive factory tour of Nestle and enjoyed the free goodies. Students then visited the Dragon Mall.
Day 5: It was, packed with Indoor sessions, Communication workshop by Ms Aamna Sultan, Guest speakers from Amazon, Metlife and a session on Innovation and design thinking.
All the winner students of the Herz project each got a certificate & Gold medal: Anupam Mitra, Nivedita Joshi, Bhavesh, Amal Sujath, Sudipta Ghosh & Lalith Kumar. Harish Singha was adjudged as the best for best participant award by Ureka Dubai.
Mr Sarfraz Hasan of Ureka Education, Dubai commended the efforts of our Chairman and CEO Shri Manish Jain for successfully organizing this ‘Overseas Business Study Mission’.
