Teacher’s Day is celebrated on 5th September every year, all over India with full devotion as well as enthusiasm. It is celebrated, to mark the birth date of 1st Vice President of India, Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, who also went on to become the 2nd President of India. At IBA, Teacher’s Day celebration is something special as everything is conducted by students and organized by the YMCC. It was a great show which began around 6 PM at IBA Auditorium. Director, Dr. Subhash Sharma, Founder & CEO, Mr. Manish Jain and all the faculty members with staff members were present, which enhanced the glory of the evening.
The event began with Sarasvati Vandana and lighting of the lamp by our Gurus. It was followed by a foot-tapping dance performance, by a student group named ‘Flying Feet’ which cheered the audience. Further, the celebration was followed by a sweeter note by the cake cutting ceremony. Dr. Sharma shared his experience as a teacher and a student as well.
Students of 18-20 batch performed on some old melodies and dedicated it to our teachers. Then came the most interesting part of the event, a mimicry act by students of 17-19 batch on Prof Kulkarni, Prof Hegde and Prof Prema Ramachandran. It was really fun which the audience appreciated a lot.
Saplings were given, in the form of gift as a token of love to all our teachers. Then one of the talented students from Batch 18-20 Sachin Tiwari recited a beautiful poem and dedicated it to our Gurus. The most awaited part of the event was the skit, and their performance was well applauded, by the audience. To end the show, the seniors performed a mesmerising musical act that took us on a wonderful musical ride. Then event concluded with the vote of thanks by the organising committee.
