Teacher’s Day Celebrations – 2021
Teacher’s Day Celebrations
Date: 5th September 2021
Teacher’s Day is a special day observed in appreciation of teachers, which includes celebrations to honour them for their contributions in a particular field area and the community in general. In India, it is celebrated annually on the 5th of September, the date of birth of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, an eminent scholar, philosopher and Bharat Ratna awardee who also served as the first Vice President and second President of the nation.
As Indus Business Academy(IBA) enables students to celebrate and honour all national holidays, festivals, and events in a year in collaboration with the YMCC committee, Teacher’s Day also was observed with the same commitment, with the interaction being digital rather than physical. The event began at 5:00 PM with Saraswati Vandana by Batch 2021-23, followed by poem recital from batch 20-22. Along with all the faculty and staff members, students participated in the celebration via a zoom call.
Dr Subhash Sharma, Director – IBA Bangalore, delivered an enlightening speech on Teachers and their role in our life, after which there was a poem recital by batch 2021-23. Dr Subhendu Dey, Program Director – IBA Bangalore, then delivered a speech highlighting the power of Teachers, followed by a speech from Dr S. Ramesh, Professor – IBA Bangalore. Following this, a roleplay event by Batch 2021-23 took place, and everyone enjoyed it a lot. After this, Dr Nandeesh V. Hiremath, Professor – IBA Bangalore, delivered an energising speech followed by Prof. Murlidhar Deshpande, Professor – IBA Bangalore, enlightening everyone. Students from both batches put forth appreciable performances like singing, guess the faculty guess the cities of India, followed by a memorable ‘Thank you video’ by Batch 20-22. The event ended with a Thank you note from a Batch 2020-22 student to the faculty and staff members of IBA.
