On February 22 2023, The Madras Institute of Development Science faculty member Mr. Ananta Giri enlightened us on the Thirukkural, Arthasatra, and beyond. Prof. Subhash Sharma, the chief mentor of the Indus Business Academy, Bengaluru, explained the relevance of Earth Sastra, the summoning of the Omega Circle of Planetary Realization, and the role of Aarthasastra in strategic thinking in company management. Later Mr. T Kannan assisted us in comprehending how the Gandhian strategy for creating a sustainable economy represented the Thirukkural style of leadership.
We learned about Islam and business ethics from Fathima Sarah from the Centre for Peace and Spirituality in Bangalore. She explained the differences between Muslim culture and Islam and how to create a strong foundational value system to create strong business ethics and improve the world.
We learned about “ethics and principles—the impacts of the Vedas and Upanishads on the conduct of the Indian Business Organisation from Dr. AVR Acharyulu, a faculty of Indus Business Academy. Dr. AVR has shown us how the Vedas and Upanishads relate to management principles and serve as a benchmark for an organization’s ethical business practices.
Mr. Randhir Kumar Gautam, ITM University, and the Vishwaneedam Centre for Asian Blossoming provided insights from the Guru Granth Sahib and contemporary critical theory, as well as critiques of political economy. Mrs. Mrinati Pradhan, of the Vishwaneedam Centre for Asian Blossoming, then blessed the workshop with her poetry and illuminated new poetics of empowerment, imagination, and literary creativity.
Mr. Ananta Kumar Giri concluded the workshop with inspiring poetry and songs performed by the dignitaries.
