Ugadi 2023
Ugadi, also known as Yugadi, is one of the most important festivals celebrated by people of Telugu, Kannada, and Konkani communities. It marks the beginning of the new year according to the Hindu lunar calendar. Ugadi falls on the first day of the month of Chaitra, which usually falls in the months of March or April in the Gregorian calendar.
The word “Ugadi” is derived from the Sanskrit word “Yugadi,” which means “the beginning of a new era.” It is believed that on this day, Lord Brahma created the universe.
It is also famous as Gudi padwa and chatri chand in different parts of India, This year Ugadi was celebrated on 22nd march 2023 and the celebration of new year has been done enthusiastically by students in the campus of Indiapura,it begans with Puja of Lord vishnu in the morning inside santripti which was decorated with flowers and Rangoli followed by distribution of Ugadi pacahadi. Ugadi Pachadi is made by mixing several ingredients, each of which represents a different taste and emotion. It is not just a dish but a representation of philosophy of life.
